Deconstructing Gaslighting: A 14 Week Guided Group Experience
Mon, Feb 24
|Mondays at Noon on Zoom
Gaslighting is often misunderstood and misused as a buzzword. This class goes deeper—using a research-based approach to help you truly understand what gaslighting is, how it affects you, how to recognize the subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways it is used, and how to break the patterns.

FAQ:
Who is this class for?
Anyone experiencing gaslighting in any relationship - family, friend, spouse, boss, etc. You can also participate if you'd just like to understand gaslighting better or perhaps are trying to help a friend who is experiencing gaslighting.
Will this help me make my person stop gaslighting me?
This group will not have an effect on and is not meant to help you tell anyone else what to do. It will teach you how to step out of range of gaslighting efforts and stay firm in your reality, what you know, and what is important to you.
What if I am at home with children or trying to do this on my lunch break?
You just need to maintain privacy for other group members - no one else should be able to see your screen or hear your audio (use headphones). As long as you are able to maintain privacy, it's okay if your children or other people are around you, especially if you are able to step away to ask your own questions and make comments (you could use the chat for this as well though.)
Do I have to share my personal experiences? Can I be anonymous in this group?
Sharing is always optional. The group processing portion will be most effective when group members have cameras on as much as possible and participate in the discussion at a level that feels comfortable. You can always choose whether and how much you would like to share. You can participate without disclosing what type of relationship you have with your gaslighter for example.
Is this a support group or a therapy group?
This is not a therapy or support group. It is an educational and discussion-based group designed to help participants understand gaslighting in depth. While emotional processing and some coaching are part of the experience, this is not a substitute for therapy.
If I miss a session, will recordings be available?
Due to the sensitive nature of this topic and things that may be shared, we will not be recording these groups.
What if I'm not comfortable discussing this in a group setting?
This program is also available for individual coaching. You may book a coaching session with me and just let me know you would like to be guided through the Deconstructing Gaslighting program.
